Ren Guoqiang, a police officer from the Yuhuatai Police Station in Nanjing, said: “We called in the surveillance and found that it was a white t-shirt with an inverted triangle pattern on the chest. The surveillance the previous day was the same person who took the takeaway during the same time period. We have been chasing it to a unit door in the community.”
Two days in a row, the same person used to steal food. The police investigated house by house in the unit where the food was lost. Finally, in a shared house, they found Zhou who was wearing the same shirt as the suspect in the surveillance. Entering Zhou’s room, the duck blood vermicelli soup that was stolen that day was placed on the table.
Zhou admitted that he stole two takeaways that day. In the past two months, he can’t remember how many foods he stole. He said that it became a habit to think that stealing food was not held accountable. According to the investigation, there are more than ten cases of food stealing by Zhou.
